We are leaving!!!

Not for Russia yet but we are on the move now. We leave Calgary tomorrow morning to head to Thunder Bay and then down to Missouri finally ending up in Chicago where we will depart for Russia May 21st. It has been very busy packing and saying goodbye:( to all our friends and family here. We are so thankful for all the support we have here and are getting pretty excited about our new journey.
We still haven't sold the jeep but hopefully it will sell soon. We are using Andy and Char's van for our road trip. I am writing on our new laptop!! Yay!!! It arrived just in time:) We will write again and add some pics when we arrive in Thunder Bay on Saturday.

Jeep for Sale! Each day the things we are selling get harder and harder. First it is just junk that we don't mind losing, then it's my favorite teapots, and now our jeep :(... I sure like it, especially the heated seats. But it was an anonymous gift (that means from God I guess) and we can trust Him to provide for all our needs again. In Moscow we'd rather not have a vehicle. The Metro it is! Hey, anyone want to buy it? Yes, it is parked in our front yard. No, our house does not look like the houses across the street:) We are hoping the money we get for it will cover our tickets to Russia. Posted by Hello

Looks like Hudson had his wisdom teeth out! Posted by Hello

Double Ouch!

We had two ouchy days but now they are done. Yesterday was the dentist... Emma and I had our teeth x-rayed, cleaned etc. and David had the works- all 4 wisdom teeth taken out and 3 fillings put in. Ouch! But he is doing great and didn't get puffy, well maybe a little but with his face you wouldn't know, he did look a little more like Tom Cruise than normal:) I go back for a couple of fillings later. Today we had vaccinations for the kids. Josiah had 4, Hudson 3 and Emma 3. And more to come. That was just the regulars and we still have the special Russian ones to get. All of us...
The interesting thing was Emma's attitude for them. She loved going to the dentist, and getting the shots. Now if you know Emma you know how shy she is even looking at new people never mind people with big needles and the like in hand, but she was smiling, pleasant and incredibly brave. Well done Emma! She came home and told her cousin Ocean "I got to go get shot!" with a huge smile on her face as though Ocean would be jealous! funny. Josiah and Hudson did not enjoy it:)

Josiah loves to be chased around by Emma:)  Posted by Hello

What City should you live in?

You Belong in London

A little old fashioned, and a little modern.

A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.

A unique woman like you needs a city that offers everything.

No wonder you and London will get along so well.

What City Do You Belong in? Take This Quiz :-)

I like the sound of that, but Moscow will have to do:)

Did you get our newsletter?

David sent out an email newsletter/update about a week ago and we would like to know if there is anyone who did not receive it and would like to receive monthly:) updates from us via email. If you would, just email us your address and we'll send one out to you. Or leave it in the comments if you'd like. Our email is davidanderinjames@hotmail.com

Wish i could draw their route on the photo... maybe i could but I'm too lazy:) They climbed up this mountain almost reaching the highest point (the gray peak left of the middle of the pic) pretty amazing! Posted by Hello

Looks Like National Geographic doesn't it? David survived another mountaineering trip. Matt and David were a little scared as we drove by Mount Athabasca on our way to our hotel in Jasper. Yes, the boys took us wives along this time! No, we didn't go for the climb. They climbed for 11 hours but didn't quite make it to the summit (3491m), but made it very close (3300m). We were about to call the rescue team as it was getting close to the panic time that they left with us! The pictures don't show how huge an undertaking it was... too bad cause those guys are good! And all you North and the Sea fans....he did wear the shirt under there! Posted by Hello

A Date!

Although David is an extremely romantic kind of guy, who never seems to come home without flowers or a special treat for me everyday, it is rare these days that we have a real date without the kids. Usually we go to a nice irish pub for some snacks or something after our russian class each wednesday night but we'd have Hudson with us. But yesterday we had plans to leave the kids with Grandma for an hour (I thought) and go pick out some glasses for me at Walmart. I am very glad that I went and got formula for Hudson instead of making a bottle cause I didn't know that Grandma wouldn't just need 1 bottle! I knew David would take me to Tim Horton's or somewhere before going back home but he took me to The Smugglers Inn. A very very nice restaurant, He had prime rib, I had cedar planked Salmon and we had all the extras, anyway. We are sitting at this great table in the dark restaurant by the flickering fireplace and he is reaching in his coat pocket, I joked that it looked like he was gonna propose and he said "I am" pulls out this little white box and passes it to me. 3 more diamonds! A beautiful necklace and diamond earrings for no reason. ANd then.. We head off to a concert- Carolyn Arends. I should say Spencer with Carolyn Arends cause that guy was the real highlight. She did a song about Alf Bell's mom? in Thunder Bay and Bob Dylan's Forever Young. anyway. Thanks David! Very Fun. If it was a proposal I would have said Yes!
Here is the funny thing. I thought Charlotte was confused cause I heard her say something about David and I going to a concert (not good with secrets) earlier but I thought I'd check and see what concerts were on in case it was true. All I could find was that Motley Crue was in town Friday Night. So I was a little bit giggly when he was driving me around trying to figure out if that was the concert! That would have been fun?
sorry long post. I could give more details but I won't bore you all. Maybe I need a journal instead:)

Snuggled in the stroller. Posted by Hello

Back from our walk. (wish I could say daily walk) Sure like the stroller. Emma sits on the foot part below Hudson if she gets tired. And we can fit a lot of groceries in the baskets. Every mothers dream vehicle. Well not every mother I guess... Posted by Hello
