Having Fun

I'm just visiting my dad so I can write a note from his computer. We are really enjoying our girls' week. I love not packing up diapers and sippy cups and worrying about what the boys are getting into. But i do miss you jo and huddy. and david:)
We have seen many people already and look forward to seeing more of our Thunder Bay friends.
I have lots of pics but can't put them on this computer I don't think so you'll have to wait.
Thunder Bay seems sooo much hotter than Calgary because of the humidity. I like that Calgary is dry heat.
Anyway, we will write again soon...

In Thunder Bay again

Emma and I(Erin)are in Thunder Bay. It is so good to be with Grandma, Grandpa, Poppy etc. again. We got to see Garron tonight and we will see him again tomorrow morning. If anyone in thunder bay is interested in seeing the 60 bikers head out tomorrow morning you can see them leaving Evangel Church on balmoral at 7:45 am. They will be biking out to Dorion for lunch and then on to sleep in Nipigon tomorrow night. It is such a priviledge to be able to see uncle garron on his cross country tour. Emma was so glad to see him. Emma brought him a flower and a love?:) letter from Amy. I'll be able to put some pictures on later I hope so that you all (especially Amy and Journey) can see him.

Huddy Buddy

It has been very hot here. I think it is in Thunder Bay too isn't it? Time has been flying by way too fast. Emma and I will fly to Thunder Bay tomorrow! Josiah has been sick the last few days so we've just been hanging around and keeping an eye on him and trying to cheer him up. he seems all better today though so that is good. Today David is starting the process of getting two new front teeth, ouch...

Yesterday Huddy was dancing around a lot so I managed to get some of his moves on the camera. turn up your volume to hear his favorite dance song:)

The Climbers

I love the first picture. Matt looks anxious to get going and David just looks anxious:) They did a great job and made it all the way to the top. The route they did was called Raptor. Posted by Picasa

a closer look

well this is as close as I can show them both to you because they are so far apart. Matt is in the bottom right corner and David is at the top left corner. In the picture David is lead climbing to the next bolt. Then Matt will climb up and they will switch roles. Posted by Picasa

Beautiful Canada!

Canadian Wildlife

While the boys were climbing, Kayleah and I got to see some wildlife right beside us! Posted by Picasa

Can you see Matt? David?

They were so far away that this is even closer than what they looked like to us. Without using the camera to see them, all we could see was Matt and he looked like a little snowflake. David is above Matt. David is almost at the end of the pitch. They had 9 pitches to get to the top! it took the whole day:) Posted by Picasa

Thanks David!

David took me to the Saddledome last night which was a great surprise. We saw Starfield, Chris Tomlin and Third Day (pictured above). I think I enjoyed watching Starfield the most, then Chris Tomlin and then Third Day. I think. But my favorite song for sure was when Chris and his band did When I Survey... It was really good, even though it didn't have my favorite kind of drumming. It has been so long since I've been to something like that. Thanks for watching the kids (again!) Charlotte and Andy. And in the morning they take the kids again! as David and I and Matt and Kayleah are having a couple nights away in the mountains! Nice. Posted by Picasa

growing up

Josiah is doing a great job staying dry. He was having fun on the skateboard today, he's got some cool moves... Posted by Picasa

more pics of Solomon

Huddy loves to watch Solomon and loves to touch his toes though sometimes he can be a bit rough so we have to watch him carefully. Hudson is very curious and oohs and aws when he sees his little cousin. Posted by Picasa

Good Boy!

Josiah is a quick learner. He hardly ever pees in his pull-up and if he does- he stops and then finishes on the potty. I wouldn't say it is any easier than changing his diaper, he goes pee every 10 minutes it seems. and he really does go, lots! But he is really enjoying it and we are very proud of him. he likes to use one sheet of toilet paper to dry off and then he puts the lid down and flushes and then goes and tells everyone "i went potty" "ya, i went potty" with a big smile on his face. Huddy is looking a little interested too. He doesn't realize he is any younger than josiah:) Posted by Picasa

there they go....

On wednesday morning I was in the bathroom:) wondering what time it was, realizing that the Bike for Bibles group would be biking past our place on their way out (trans canada highway)... i peeked out the bathroom window and saw some bikers in the distance and then ran and got my camera and went on our balcony and got a few shots of them. I only got maybe the last 20? bikers so I don't think Garron was in any of my shots cause he (of course) is at the front of the pack:) Too bad I didn't think of it earlier...But it was neat to see them heading off, I almost had tears of joy, or pride when I saw them. I am very impressed with their trust and effort and willingness etc... Posted by Picasa

Stampede!

David took our little cowgirl to the stampede yesterday. They saw Dora, Thomas the Tank Engine, horses, sheep, cows, watched some fasion shows, went on lots of rides (even a few scary ones!)....and thanks to Amanda (who was working in a booth) they had free fries and hotdogs and drinks. And when it costs $6 for something to eat and $3 for even a bottle of water or pop, we are very thankful for Amanda being there for sure!:) Emma has been wearing her hat all the time. She was born here in Calgary so she is really a cowgirl:)
We got the last bit of things done to apply for our new visa's. Huddy looks so cute in the pictures for the visa. Hopefully all will go well with the processing or whatever. Posted by Picasa

Bellies!

Is it normal for the youngest to have the biggest belly and the oldest the smallest? Too bad it doesn't countinue like that up through to the parents:( Posted by Picasa

Journey and her lamby

Journey has the coolest most dramatic eyes I've ever seen. Very cute indeed. And unlike Ethan- you never have to wonder what is going through her mind. She will tell you what she is thinking which is sometimes a good thing but not always:) Josiah can say Journey's name now which I think is the hardest word he knows! Posted by Picasa

Ethan Paterson

I took about 10 pictures of Ethan and he just stood and stared at the camera like this. no change of expression... but it is a good one Ethan:)I often wish I knew what was going through his head, what is he thinking? Posted by Picasa

A Special Guest!

Garron Rish (and his sister Sharon) joined us for supper, fellowship and hopefully a good rest tonight. They have made it this far already biking across Canada. they started in Victoria. If you want to see where the whole Bike for Bibles team is look here for updates and pictures and all kinds of information. It was great to see them, don't forget about them! Garron is having troubles with one of his knees and his hands are in rough shape- nerve problem kinda thing... He can barely do up his pants and here he is biking across the country. wow. Way to Go Garron! Emma and I get to see him at the end of the month as he will be passing through Thunder Bay right when we get there. Nice timing. Posted by Picasa
