Emma's School
We love Emma's school- her teacher is great, her classmates are super and Emma is really learning a lot. I just noticed that Emma's teacher put some pictures on of the class- click here to see them. (you'll see Emma in the front row in the first picture and her cousin Sierra is to her right) Today they are having a Terry Fox run. Josiah, Hudson and I are going to go see if we can run/walk too- hopefully I'll get some pictures.
Picture Day
Today was picture day at Emma's school. We'll have to wait a few weeks till we get to see how they turned out but I took these ones of her before she went out the door this morning. Lately if you ask Emma if you can take her picture she throws her arms out in this position- must be her best pose:) I instructed her not to do it for her class picture:) She lost another tooth yesterday- soon she will have all her 8 front adult teeth.... getting old!

Family Picture in the Prairies
It was a really nice day (sometime last week:) and Amy thought it would be a good day to go get some pictures taken in a wheat field. It really was fun and we have really been needing a picture of all 5 of us so we drove out after supper and Garron's sister took some pictures of all of us. I'm just sorting through the pictures right now but here are some of them- pretty nice eh. Too bad we don't all have farming outfits on...that would look great:) A great photo to take back with us to Russia to remember our time in the Prairies.

Challenging the young
We've actually been doing quite a bit of sharing about our work in Tuva but today was probably the funnest yet. David and Emma spoke to a group of young kids at a school in Calgary. David talked about how when he was just their age he had decided to do the work that we are doing now. Emma taught the kids some Russian and I sat way up high controlling the audio visual extravaganza:) The kids were great- they sat so quiet. Then we shared a little extra info in Grandma Charlotte's class. It really was very enjoyable.
Today was a day off for both Emma and David so that is why we could come in and share at Char's school. Afterwards we did a little banking and then went to the park in front of Andy and Char's house. The kids love the parks here- they are so well kept and friendly. no broken vodka bottles.... no garbage.... no wild dogs.... etc.

The swimming pool
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, I take the boys to the pool to swim- it is the same place I go to workout while they are at school on Monday and Wednesdays. They love it- Huddy always asks "we go swimpoo today?" They put out a bunch of toys to play with- the boys have always enjoyed bath time so this is like a huge bathtub to them. You can see that Huddy likes to make motor boat sound effects. There is a little slide and even a water slide but we'll leave that for when Daddy comes with us sometime... It is so great to be able to head over there instead of trying to find something to keep busy with around the house- they boys come back good and hungry and sleepy and take long naps after pool days- and school days! Good schedule.
Wow, just noticed in the picture how funny Josiah's big sideburns are:) Think he is due for a haircut!!!
