Warmer Days ahead...

Today is a bit warmer than it has been and tomorrow is supposed to get up to 10C. Yay! So we enjoyed the outdoors a little more today:)
We will be living in Calgary now until we leave. Only 11 days left! We are going through the bags we've packed and writing detailed lists of what is in each suitcase incase we lose one or something like that. We've always meant to do that but usually we run out of time and just throw things in so it is nice to have a little extra time to pack well. We are still just waiting for our visas to come- not expecting them until Feb. 6th or 7th.

3 Brave Men or something like that:)

Matt
Jon
David went camping/iceclimbing in the mountains with his brother Jon and his friend Matt. It was the coldest weekend in a long time but they still tented right there on the frozen river. I was sure they would come back super sick or completely frozen but they survived and even enjoyed it:)

Huddy is 4!!!!

Seems strange that our youngest is 4... Huddy has the most babyish look out of our kids- the others looked much older at this age I think but he does not like to be called the baby:) he likes to be called a little boy. and Josiah is a small boy. Today is his real birthday though we had the party a while back, closer to Josiah's 5th birthday. David is in Calgary right now- he'll be coming to get us later today to bring us into town too. (I'll have pics of his weekend in the mountains later today- winter camping and iceclimbing.)
Josiah and Huddy got these big lollipops from Rentaro-san (young man from Japan) and I thought I'd let them have them today as a special treat. Josiah didn't end up eating any- just a few licks but Huddy ate quite a bit, his was a little broken so it was easier to eat and he doesn't mind getting sticky:) It is amazing how different the boys are but still they are best buddies.
Hudson was hoping to be in Tuva by now- or at least on his favorite train heading that direction but it will come soon enough:) He really can't stop talking about going back to Tuva.

Huddy teaching us how to make a KD spinach sandwich...

Huddy made up an interesting new meal idea. First he takes off the stem if it is too big, then he puts on two or three noodles, the he folds it then eats and presto! that's it. Simple and soooo yummy:) kinda:)

sure takes him a long time to do it and finish off the whole plate though...

I'm not sure but he might be remembering our Korean meal that we had with our friends in Mongolia. The koreans often wrap up bbq'd meat in lettuce and eat it like that with their fingers. It was really good and maybe it inspired this creation :)

Huddy's favorite meal...

The one thing I didn't have that huddy loves is grapes. He LOVES yogurt as long as it is plain or vanilla- he's not into chunky fruity kind. Kraft Dinner is a new favorite for all of the kids (and mommy loves it:). And the big hit lately for Huddy and for all of us is spinach. The kids eat tons and tons of it. We buy a box and it is gone in a day. When they are waiting for dinner I put a bowl of spinach on the table and they nibble on it till supper is ready- figure that kinda of snacking can't be too bad for them.
One thing we can't get in Tuva is any kind of greens like lettuce or spinach. :( we didn't used to eat much salad so it wasn't that hard being without but now the kids and I always are craving salad so I'm thinking it will be hard being without for us now... And of course we will miss Kraft Dinner! :)
